As a graphic designer at Saks, one of my responsibilities was designing seasonal shopping books. For Fall 2023, we partnered with our art directors to bring a relatable and real-world feeling to our photography and design. We swapped out our usual serif font for a graphic sans-serif that made the book feel fresh and exciting.
I was tasked with designing the “Fall Essentials” portion of the book. This section focused on core staple items that the customer should integrate into their fall wardrobe.

The catalog features products selected by Saks editors, along with scannable links that bring customers to the Saks website. Each season, Saks creates preorder books that are mailed out to saks.com subscribers. The books feature looks from runway collections that will be available in the upcoming collection, along with trend forecasting pages.
For the Men’s Spring 23 Preorder Book, we used bright pastel colors to complement the looks of the season. From there, we worked with the men’s fashion director to select images and trends for the book.

At Saks, the Spring books are the largest of the seasonal catalogs. For Spring 2023, myself and four other designers were responsible for designing the book. I was tasked with designing the “Bold Energy” section of the book, which focuses on statement pieces.
The photograph was shot in San Juan’s old town, giving the book a warm and inviting feeling after the colder winter months.

For the launch of the Citysole sneaker, Coach requested illustrations and posters detailing the functions of the shoe. I was commissioned to create the illustrations and poster designs. I created outlines of the shoe that eventually went on to be the final illustrations used on the marketing posters. The final posters were displayed in Coach stores all around the country.

For Fall 2022, I was tasked with designing branding for the Saks Men’s Sneaker Campaign. The campaign features photographs of each participating brand’s sneaker alongside links to shop for the shoes. The concept for the photography was to place the shoes in natural settings where the customers would likely wear the shoes.
